Here are some descriptions of required gear and some representative examples:
Water Bowl and Food Dish:
A sturdy set of water bowl and food is necessary to keep your dog hydrated and fed. Greyhounds are tall but in order to control the rate of eating and drinking it is often recommended to situate the bowls right down on the floor.
A mat is recommended to keep spills of food and water off the floor.
Be sure to keep the food, water bowls, and mat clean to prevent build up of bacteria.

Towels:
It is a good idea to have a set of old towels that you can use with you dog. There are continuous uses for them such as wiping your dogs feet after a walk in the mud or rain. Cleaning up spills or simply drying your dog after a bath. We often use a towel laid out on the floor for when we feed our dog a bone to keep everything contained.
Treat Dispensers:
Treat dispensers are important devices to keep your Greyhound entertained, and more importantly, occupied and distracted from causing damage in the home.
Our dog loves the Kong Tricky Treat Ball and is excited for us to leave the house so that she can chase the ball around the house and have her treats. I use a mix of basic kibble and treats and its still one of her favorites.
