FIRST PRIZE! - Charity Dog Run

The costumed fun run is dog friendly and the Dash of Doom race helps support the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS).

AARCS is a caring local organization that performs a number of roles from sheltering, rehabilitation and re-homing of animal among other things.

While we certainly didn't win the 5 km race (run / walk), we did take home the prize for best costume!

1st Place Dog Costume

Our costume, inspired by our family's love for aviation, a little national pride and support for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) was a team effort with French Fry as a CF-18 pilot and French Fry's Mom and Dad as fellow pilots.

The costume got lots of attention and as usual everyone thought Frenchie was adorable.

We told many the story, and importance of making an effort to rescue a greyhound.

The family had fun, even Frenchie who made sure to stop and sniff everything along the 5km walk / jog

This year the Dash of Doom (taking place Saturday October 27, 2018) will be including a free long sleeve T-shirt with a picture of our very own greyhound rescue, French Fry!

How exciting is that!? Our little pupper is famous.

Be sure to search your local area for Pet friendly events in support of good causes!
